From Sputnik to SpaceX: Our past and future journeys beyond Earth
Wednesday, April 18
7-8:30pm in the Chelsea District Library’s McKune Room

The past glories of the Apollo and Space Shuttle programs may be behind us, but what does man’s future in space look like? Join Authors in Chelsea author Jim Ottaviani and astronaut Tony England as they discuss highlights of the history of space flight and the future of space travel. Ottaviani is the author of T-Minus: The Race to the Moon, a history of the cold war race to achieve manned spaceflight, as well as a librarian at the University of Michigan. Dr. England is Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Professor of Atmospheric, Oceanic, and Space Science at the University of Michigan. He was a support crewman for the Apollo 13 and 16 flights, and flew in a Spacelab-2 mission.

Register for the program or just come! Walk-Ins are welcome.
