The Washtenaw Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (WLBPD) is a free service as part of the National Library Service network, administered by the Ann Arbor District Library.

The service provides:

  • books
  • magazines
  • videos

in alternative formats, including recorded cassette, Braille and descriptive video.  The service is available to individuals of all ages who are certified as unable to read or use standard printed materials as a result of temporary or permanent visual or physical limitations.  The materials are shipped free to your home and mailed back free of charge to the Ann Arbor District Library.

More information is available at wlbpd.aadl.org.  If you or someone you know may be interested in learning more or applying for service, please contact the WLBPD at (734) 327-4224 or via email at wlbpd@aadl.org.
