Mission

It is the mission of the Adult Service Department of the Chelsea District Library to provide a wide variety of resources and programs to fulfill the intellectual, educational, cultural, and recreational needs of our patrons.

The Adult Services Department provides easy access to:

The Adult Services Department is a center for access to local history and genealogical resources.

The Adult Services Department relies on trained professionals who assist patrons in making full use of library resources, programs, and facilities.

The Adult Services Department will foster programming that is informational, instructive and entertaining.

The Adult Services Department will actively develop partnerships and joint outreach activities with community groups to further the library’s mission.

The Adult Services Department is on the forefront of the information age. We make it a priority to continually evaluate the latest books, audiobooks, magazines, newspapers and emerging formats, and selecting those materials which best enhance our service.
