 . The library will help you find information of all types. Just call the Adult Services Information Desk at (734) 475-8732 any time during open library hours or stop by on the second floor. Librarians can help you find books and information from online resources. Articles from encyclopedias, magazines, and scholarly journals, as well as other information, is available to library cardholders for free through our databases.

Research

Training. Librarians are here to help you learn how to find information and use the latest technology. Computer workshops on a variety of topics such as Microsoft Office and web technologies are offered regularly, or just ask at the information desk any time.

Interlibrary Loans and Material Requests. If the library doesn’t have the item you need, we will do our best to get it for you from another library in our network or beyond.

• Placing a hold. Your library card entitles you to borrow materials from any of a network of more than 45 libraries in southeast Michigan. To have those materials delivered to Chelsea, you may place a hold in the library catalog. If you don’t know your PIN, please contact the Information Desk at (734) 475-8732. Librarians can also make these requests for you in person or by phone.
• Interlibrary loans. If an item is not available in our local network, we will try to obtain it for you from elsewhere in the state or country. Please contact the Information Desk to request an interlibrary loan.
• Material suggestions. If you know of a book, movie, or other item you think the library should purchase, please recommend it at the Information Desk. The library cannot promise to purchase your request but appreciates suggestions for how to enhance the collection.

Book Delivery. If you are unable to come to the library due to temporary or permanent disability or ill health, the library will come to you. Learn how to sign up for home delivery by calling (734) 475-8732.
